Dean Comple

Dean Comple is a lifetime artist who began creating Art at a very young age. Dean has recently been blessed to be able to now focus solely on Art and teaching Art, since retiring from a 40 year career as a Manager in the Airline industry. Dean has travelled all over the world in that profession and therefore had an opportunity to view Art of all types in many countries.

Now Dean is living his dream life of painting and crafting in a bright and colorful fashion. He explores all types of Art in his work and wants to share his love of Art with as many people as possible, especially young people that have vivid ideas and wish to discover and create Art in its full beauty. It’s truly My Honor, to be involved with “Hugs and Smiles”

These free Music , Art and Dance programs are for kids ages 8-17. Our online zoom series starts on April 13th..Classes will be held once per week.

We will be showcasing the students art creations that they have worked so hard on after the 6 classes are completed. We will have this either online and or public events (depending on the Covid 19 restrictions).

10-17	Tuesday, May 4th 5:30-6:30 pm EST	Texture	Canvas, acrylic paints, ice cream sticks, paper plate for mixing, some sand or small pebbles, brushes, a plastic bowl with water to mix and then to clean the brushes
10-17	Tuesday, May 11th 5:30-6:30 EST	Your Inner Self or "Emotions"	Canvas, acrylic paint, brushes, a plastic bowl with water to clean the brushes OR pens, colored pencils

Words = Art:
This class is to explore and associate "Words" in a simple colorful (or Black and white) drawings/sketches, what words look like in a picture

"The Mask":
This class will give students the opportunity to create a mask that they can wear that will express their inner self and positive thoughts about "wearing masks" that we all have during Covid’s crisis.

"Pour you Heart Out!":
Students will learn about the effect different fluid have when mixed together to form cells in the paint on the canvas. Learning about a Dutch pour Technique

Texture
What "texture painting" is all about! Mixing paint to build layers, just like friendship, its all about building UP!

Your Inner Self or "Emotions"
Students can paint or draw in any style they like, or have learned to express their feelings on canvas, showing emotion
