Dale Youngman
Dale Youngman has been working in the field of fine art for almost 20 years, as a Gallery Owner, Artist Manager, Art Marketer and Writer, Fine Art Consultant, and currently as the Gallery Director and Curator for Castelli Art Space in Los Angeles, CA. Her curatorial strength lies in creating cohesive group exhibits of contemporary Southern CA artists in thematic and creative installations with thought-provoking narratives.
As a cultural event planner and active supporter of all the arts, she has worked with various non-profits to coordinate fund-raising art exhibits and auctions that have benefited cancer victims, at-risk children, veterans, and the homeless in LA, through Art Share LA, Free Arts for Abused Children, Portraits of the Fallen Memorial, Cycle of Live for Cancer Research, and Spirit of Healing for the Christian Health Center. She has twice been honored by the City of LA with Certificates of Appreciation for her service and years of art advocacy. Dale continues to support emerging artists through career counseling as an Art Coach, and considers her raison d’être to be reversing the paradigm of the starving artist. “I am excited to be joining the board of Hugs and Smiles, and helping to execute Tina’s long-standing vision for helping disadvantaged children and teens through exposure to the arts. Her programing can positively enrich the lives of so many children, by building their self-confidence and opening their eyes to new opportunities for self-expression. My experience in producing creative fundraising art events will be one way I can help bring more attention and focus to this organization, as well as increase the bottom line through art sales and financial contributions.” |
