Dance Programs
Dance helps children build motor skills, while allowing them to practice self-expression and build self confidence.
Dance in all forms is a positive activity, whether cultural folk-dance, ballet, tap, swing or choreographed popular dance – the physical act of dance brings children together with the joy of movement to music.
Our workshops will explore various dance forms with the goal of creating student recitals, thus giving children the opportunity to perform on stage, where working together on a large group project promotes cooperation.
Expanding children’s horizons = expanding their minds and hearts!
Dancing is a highly physical activity, and children that dance regularly will have significant improvement in their overall physical health. According to Pro Dance Center, regular dance practice can increase children’s flexibility, range of motion, physical strength and stamina. The repetitive movements involved in dance can improve muscle tone, correct poor posture, increase balance and coordination and improve overall cardiovascular health. Dancing is an aerobic form of exercise.
