Textured Salt:
Place board or paper on the table
With the glue create any design you wish such as a scribble, lines, circles or create words or numbers
Gently pour salt over the glued design. Carefully remove the excess salt by raising the board or paper.
Using watered down acrylics or paints gently dab paint onto the raised edges. You can paint it all in one color or make a very colorful design using several colors. Let dry overnight before hanging
Circles of Fun:
On a circular plate create any design you like by placing the bottle caps over it.
You can start from the center and work around it.
Place the glue on the bottom of the bottle cap and glue each bottle cap onto the cardboard.
After you complete the design you can add smaller bottle caps on top of the glued bottle caps to give it a third dimension.
Let dry overnight.“Circles of Fun”
Hamsa Hand:
The Hamsa Hand is an ancient Middle Eastern amulet symbolizing the Hand of God. It is a symbol of protection, claiming to bring happiness, luck, health, and good fortune.
A-Lay the cardboard flat on the table. Press your hand over it and with your other hand draw the silhouette starting on the inside of the hand and ending on the opposite side until your entire hand has been traced. An adult can help you trace your hand.
B- Cut around the hand silhouette and round off the bottom.
C-Peel off parts of the top layer of the cardboard to reveal the textured corrugated inside of the cardboard. Peel as much as you like to make it your own design. Save the peeled pieces.
D-Using Elmers glue or a glue stick attach the pieces of peeled cardboard.
E- Allow to dry for a few hours
F- Option 1-Place the piece outdoors over newspaper or a large board.
Under adult supervision, use goggles to protect your eyes and a protective mask for your nose and mouth, spray paint over the work.
Option 2- Instead of spray paint you may use acrylic paints to paint your artwork
Option 3- You may use cut outs from magazine instead of the peeled cardboard pieces and there will be no need to paint
